·         Tuesday, September 10:  University of Tennessee Health Science Center (Memphis) Biomed Grad School Virtual Fair.

I am the Associate Dean for Students and Recruitment in the College of Graduate Health Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis. My College is participating in a Biomed Grad School Virtual Fair that will take place on September 10, 2019. The goal of the Fair is to give students that are interested in a M.S. and/or Ph.D., degree the opportunity to ask question and/or learn about our graduate programs.


I would be very grateful if you could publicize the event on your campus using the Flyer below titled “Biomed Virtual Grad School Fair – September 10, 2019”. Your students can learn more and registerto participate in this free Fair by clicking on “LEARN MORE” in the box to the left of the event title or they may click on this link or copy and paste the link in their browser.


It will cost the students nothing to participate in the Fair, but it will give them the opportunity to CHAT LIVE with Program Representatives from UTHSC College of Graduate Health Sciences. They may participate in this Virtual Fair from anywhere.


Participants will:

  1. can connect real-time without the hassle of leaving their home or office; 
  2. meet Program Representatives online via chat rooms during the event on September 10th.
  3. Chat hours will be posted in advance (a camera is not required for the chat feature).

2.  Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (Harrogate, TN) will host its fall Osteopathic Medicine Awareness Conference and Open House Event on Saturday, September 14. 



Friendly reminder that Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) has its fall Osteopathic Medicine Awareness Conference and Open House Event (OMAC) scheduled for Saturday, September 14.


The event is open to interested prospective students, pre-health advisors, and anyone interested in learning more about our DO program and about osteopathic medicine in general. Please see the attached invitation for details.  Attendees may contact me or complete this form to register for the event.


The event will start on our main campus in Harrogate.  We will offer tours of our new Knoxville location at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. 


Also, if you would like to have an LMU-DCOM representative come to your campus and speak to your students, we would be happy to do so.  Please feel free to contact me directly to set up a time for us to visit your students.

Celebrating Ten Years of My Big Backyard!


Join us this month in celebrating the 10th Anniversary of My Big Backyard. Our Horticulture and Education teams have been working hard to get us ready for our birthday celebrations and this garden has never looked better. We are so appreciative of everyone who has played a role along the way to get us where we are today. From The Little Garden Club of Memphis planting the initial seeds and the many local foundations, corporate funders and individuals who have supported us, to the artists and craftsmen who added their special touches and the gardeners,staff and volunteers who have lovingly cared for it…you are all responsible for making My Big Backyard a wondrous experience for the thousands who visit it each year. (Click here for additional note from two members of the MBBY team.)
