Where will you go in 2017?

PATH Journeys, our popular travel program, invites you to explore with us next year. Our small-group tours offer a unique opportunity to see and understand the world in a new way. Guided by members of our executive team, board of directors, and country-based staff, you’ll spend an unforgettable week behind the scenes with a leading global health organization.

-

Next year, we’re visiting two countries on the front line of health innovation:

CHINA: April 2017
Hosted by PATH President and CEO Steve Davis, our 40th anniversary tour will trace PATH’s decades of partnership in this extraordinary hub of business, art, and culture—and explore what’s next for a country that has transitioned from receiving services to providing affordable vaccines, drugs, and devices to families worldwide.

INDIA: October 2017
Explore India’s vibrant beauty—from majestic mountains and stunning national parks to the architectural marvel of the Taj Mahal—and meet the visionary PATH leaders who, with partners and local communities, are building stronger health systems and healthy futures for women and children countrywide.

-

Intrigued? Take the next step to learn more:

6.  Marginalia:  It warms my (cold, evil) heart to know that the content of my Parasitology course is having an effect on my students.

The student in question sez that she ordered baked chicken breast.  She assumed, incorrectly, that it would be thoroughly cooked to the center.  She was wrong, as evidenced by Exhibits A and B:

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Good news:  There are NO metazoan parasites that are transmitted from chicken to humans.

Not-so-good news:  There is a plethora of bacterial diseases that can be acquired from improperly cooked chicken.

Read with caution, i.e. don’t say I didn’t warn ya:
