I have permission from Malinda Byrne to send out our updated prerequisite coursework for the Pharm.D. program here at the Union University School of Pharmacy. There has been a reduction in total number of pre-req hours required. This could potentially affect how you advise a student that might be applying to our program for the fall of 2016.

*For all science, calculus or statistics courses, the prospective pharmacy student should take courses which are suitable for science majors intending graduate study and should include laboratories when available. The calculus course(s) should include both differential and integral calculus.

 

+Elective courses must conform to the following distribution and requirements:

·         Humanities Electives include courses from arts, history, language, literature, or philosophy.

·         Social Sciences Electives include courses from anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, or sociology.

Spooky Nights is finally here! The Pine Lake Trail will be transformed into the only haunted trail in Memphis each Friday and Saturday night this October, plus select Thursdays. In addition to the 2 mile long Haunted Trail, guests can battle zombies all over the Park on Zombie Paintball Hayrides and on the ground in games of Zombie Laser Tag! 

If you're looking for scare-free fun, be sure to check out nocturnal nature hikes, harvest crafts and great local food trucks! 

All proceeds from Spooky Nights help keep Shelby Farms Park and Shelby Farms Greenline clean, green and safe, and this year, you can pre-purchase tickets online! Time is Running Out -- Registration Closes Oct. 9


Lace up those running shoes -- the Greenline Half Marathon, presented by Christian Brothers University, kicks off at 8am on October 11! This exciting 13.1 mile race winds through terrain at Shelby Farms Park that is both scenic and challenging. This year's course also runs along Shelby Farms Greenline and some of the neighborhoods it touches.

All proceeds from the race help keep the trail clean green and safe year-round.

Temporary Trail Detour

 

Over the next six weeks, we'll be working on the permanent connection between the new bike and pedestrian paths in Heart of the Park and the Connector Trail that runs parallel to Farm Road. We're opening a detour before work begins, so you won't lose any part of the trail you're used to.
