The research proposed in NSCI 410 is carried out. A formal written report and an oral presentation are required. Required of Natural Science majors.
Prerequisite: Natural Science 410. One semester; one credit.
|Textbooks||No specific textbook is required. The student is expected to use scientific journals.|
|Prerequisites||The student should have completed introductory courses in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as some upper level courses in his or her primary science area. Successful completion of Senior Research I is also necessary.|
|Goals||The course is intended to give the student experience in searching the scientific literature, experimental design, experimental methods, evaluation of experimental results, scientific writing, and technical presentation.|
|The following sequence is to be followed. Deadlines for the four tasks will be set by the instructor.
|Final Exam||There is no final exam in this course.|
|Performance Evaluation||Student performance is rated by a final letter grade that is determined by:
|Resources||The course instructor is available outside of the classroom a minimum of 10 hours per week for individual help.|
|Attendance||You must attend the weekly meetings regularly. Failure to do so will result in deduction of grade points.|
