Course Description: This is a one semester laboratory course designed to illustrate concepts discussed in Chemistry 114.

Prerequisite or Corequisite: Chemistry 114

Required Texts and Materials:

    1) Chemistry 113 - 114 package of experiments
    2) Scientific Calculator
     3) Safety glasses ($4.25) or safety goggles ($6.25)

General Course Goals:

    The course is designed to:

        1) Teach fundamental laboratory skills;
        2) Familiarize students with the practical applications of
             scientific laws;
        3) Teach students how to collect and analyze scientific data.
        4)Demonstrate applications of scientific concepts discussed in Chemistry
           114.

Attendance:  Attendance in laboratory is mandatory.Experimental reports will not be accepted from students who do not attend the laboratory session.Students should plan to attend the laboratory section for which they have registered.

Assignments:  You are expected to read the assigned laboratory readings prior to the date the experiment is to be performed.Advance study assignments are to be turned in prior to the start of assigned experiments.
 If you know that you must miss a lab and have a valid reason, see/contact me before that laboratory session begins; if possible, you may be allowed to attend a different lab section.

Point Distribution:

        7 Advance Study Assignments @ 50 points each.   350 points
        7 Laboratory Reports@100pointseach                   700 points
           Comprehensive Final Examination                        350 points
