Youth & Vitality
(Students)
  • Youth and Vitality (Students) vs. Old Age & Deceit (Faculty, Alumni, & Staff)
  • Beta Beta Beta held it's annual Youth and Vitality vs. Old Age and Deceit volleyball tournament, raising over $500 for the Church Health Center.
    • Team 1 included Victoria Bujalski, Christina Brown (Alum '06), David Tran (Alum '06), Nick Watkins, Kristi Prevost, and Antony Eddy.
    • Team 2 included Kathleen Nelson, Natalie Hurt, Matt Charles, Dione Smith, Justin Gallagher, and Matt Morgan.  In a close game, Team 1 beat out Team 2, and a combination of the teams went on to play the faculty.
    • Coached by Dr. Mary Ogilvie, the Old Age and Deceit team included Dr. Tracie Burke (Psychology), Ms. Lynda Miller (Biology), Mr. Chris Reid (Alum '08), Dr. Johnny Holmes (Dean of the School of Scienve), Dr. John Varianno (Physics), Mr. Ken Massa, Brother Francis Martin (Languages), Mr. Matt Morgan (Alum '07), and Dr. Gene McGinnis.
The professors took the first match, but the students came back to win the second.  In a close third match to win the game, the students won by two points.  A great time was had by all!
    • Beta Beta Beta also would like to give a special thanks to our announcer for the night, CBU Biology alum Jeremy Armstrong, our referee, Hannah Orendorf, and our singer of the national anthem, Jessie Wortham.  The fundraiser was organized by Antony Eddy,  who was also voted the tournament's Most Valuable Player.  Congratulations on a great job, Antony!
