    Research in Dr. Toledo’s and Dr. Pire’s laboratories revolves around the expression of glutamate receptors, particularly the AMPA types in rodent and avian brains.  Techniques used are small animal surgery, immunocytochemistry, microscopy and in situ hybridization.
