Faculty members.
Bro. Edward described the Biology Major paradigm and checksheetand the Academic Advising available to every student. Dr. Ross mentioned these resources: "How to access the CBU Biology Department's shared digital resources," "Use of Bio Dept. computers," \\valhalla\biology, and the Biology email list. Edward Salgado and Dr. Malinda Fitzgerald described CBU students' opportunities
for volunteer work in Haiti through Haiti
Medical Missions of Memphis and opportunities for paid student research
in Brazil and Uganda through the
MHIRT-NIH
grant.
Dr. Busler, Chair of the Chemistry Dept., invited pre-med (and pre-pharmacy, etc.) students to investigate an "alternative life style:" the Chemistry major as a path to their career goals. | Christie Spencer, current President of CBU's Mu Tau chapter of the national biological honor society Beta Beta Beta, introduced the other officers and invited all students interested in Biology to participate in the tri-Beta activities planned for this academic year. | |||
